Audio is decoded in your browser and is not uploaded.

Trimming runs locally. The exported file is uncompressed 16-bit PCM WAV; larger selections create larger files.

Supported input formats depend on your browser. The selected clip is exported as a WAV audio file.

How to trim an audio file

  1. Choose an audio file your browser can play and decode.
  2. Set the start and end times in seconds for the section to keep.
  3. Select Trim audio, then download the WAV result.

About the WAV download

The trimmer exports uncompressed 16-bit PCM WAV audio. WAV is widely supported, but its files can be larger than compressed formats such as MP3. Input support varies by browser; if a file cannot be decoded, try another audio format.
